Master the perfect brush stroke technique

This is a post I wish I was reading rather than writing! Maybe it should be titled "Attempt to get a decent brush stroke technique". Perfect is such a dirty word. And one I've banished from my vocabulary.

But seriously. Do you wonder what people mean when they say a work is "painterly'? It's huge compliment. What it means is that the brushstrokes are visible and do their job.
